Do I Detect Resentment?

Philosophy · asked by user [] · 2009-12-13 · 4 answers
There seems to exist a sense of resentment among some folks here for disciples of Srila Prabhupada. Not all -- but there are a few people here who repeatedly make remarks that would lead one to believe they have some deep distaste and disdain for those of us who took initiation from Srila Prabhupada between 1966 and 1977. Im not surprised though. When the so-called appointed eleven hijacked ISKCON their first order of business was to rid the temples of anyone who protested their presence. They were setting themselves up on Vyas Asanas and having guru pujas performed to them in the temples in front of their godbrothers. It was sickening. It was horrible. It was surreal and bizarre. They began taking names like Vishnupada and Gurupada and Acaryadeva and they began building their disciple base. They realized soon enough that if their coup were to be successful they had to get rid of their godbrothers and fill Prabhupadas temples with their own disciples. They subtely instilled in these newcomers -- their new disciples -- a sense of hostility toward their godbrothers. They were told "you are the new ISKCON -- you are the future -- forget about them -- they did some service and now they dont wish to coopearte with "Prabhupadas wishes that we are his appointed successors" so let them go to pasture.

Quite frankly I have never seen this poisonous mindset more than I detect in one of the posters here and on a lesser scale a few others among you. So what is it? I know that one who envies hates so is it some kind of deep rooted envy that makes you so defensive and hostile? Do you fear us? Does our very existence threaten you? Im hoping that maybe someone will have a catharsis -- a moment of clarity -- and realize that this is what is going on. Otherwise I know exactly the kind of response Im going to get but I figure its worth a try to throw this out there into cyberspace and see if it lands on fertile ground somewhere. Understand that we dont blame you. We blame our godbrothers who have indoctrinated you and misled you. You are the victims of a great hoax that has been going on for more than three decades. You have been lied to -- sold a bill of goods as it were. I know this is a hard pill to swallow but if you could only get over your prejudices and have an open mind maybe the light will penetrate the walls that have been built around you -- the walls that have kept the light of day -- the truth -- from entering the great spiritual movement that they usurped.

Im sorry to say that what you think is ISKCON is not ISKCON. If you still dont understand what is going on even after youre told then youre no longer innocent and you become complicit with the horrific offense at the lotus feet of the pure devotee Sampradaya Acarya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. This is not a game. Its not something childish like "my guru is better than your guru." This is the truth. Accept it. Understand it. Act on it .. or be prepared to accept the consquences because eventually the truth will prevail. It always does -- even if it takes a generation or a century or a millenium. Day is day and night is night. Black is black and white is white. Wrong is wrong and right is right. All I ask is that you give it some thought. If nothing else this might bring out the true colors among you.

Tulsiananda and govindas108, you are repeatedly hammering the same theme at any opportunity. If you have a cause to advance we recommend you open your own website and make your theme available to the world. Otherwise Pariprashnena becomes a political means, not a questions and answer medium. Your questions aimed at advancing your position will be deleted. Please stick to the rules and stop making this site your "preaching" field.

Some users insist on "asking" questions to provoke a response to advance their mission whatever it may be.
When admins delete them they get upset and accuse us of narrow minded, biased or God knows what else.
Please understand we have delimited this site for questions that you do not know the answer in the spirit of pariprashnena.
Any effort to advance a mission is not condemned but has its own place on the net.
Hope this helps further clarify what is stated in the terms of service.

I gave you plenty of examples why your arguments are bogus. Instead of debating the specific issues you come up with personal attacks and insinuations. --------------- Look in the mirror... maybe it is you who has a bad case of envy and hatred. You see nothing positive in the current Iskcon, and you have nothing good to say about devotees who serve there: both your own godbrothers and the disciples of new gurus. YOU SEE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE. I have plenty of friends among Prabhupadas disciples - but I do not like to associate with people who only see faults. ----------------- Are you disappointed that you did not make the guru list? Do you see godbrothers you consider to be common devotees acting as gurus, worshipped by scores of of their enthusiastic disciples, and you think you are better than them? Is that why you cant see anything positive in the current Iskcon? Is that why you want to become guru here? ----------- You will never be a guru unless you learn how to inspire people to serve Krsna better.

There is no resentment on my behalf......portnoy prabhu. You are unable to see the unlimited goodness in these wonderful devotees. You sadly reveal your true kanistha nature! You actually embarass all your godbrothers....,but sadly you are unable to see how foolish you are!Veda prabhu and Kula pavanna prabhus who are obviously the senior amongst us .....fail to appreciate your rather offensive inept....envious prattle......like myself we are serious about seeing the positive opportunities to preach! We are not languishing in the mode of ignorance......like you.
