It seems at least 10 boys, ages 4 - 12 have been sexually abused by one pedophile for at least six years. Some abuse has taken place in the temple of Moscow and in the homes of the devotees. The nature of the sexual abuse is of the worst kind. This person has also spent several years in Mayapur. He is currently in jail awaiting trial.

One can only hope that the children and their families will get all the support and help they need to overcome this most destructive crime against them. That this could happen again, at such large scale and for such a long time is simply inexcusable.

Why is it so difficult for ISKCON and the GBC to once take a strong stance against sexual or other abuse against children? Letting known pedophiles who happen to friends with the money prance around the holy dham like nothing ever happened sends the wrong signal to future pedophile predators! There consequences of child sexual abuse must be harsh! And beyond corruption.

Do you know of anyone who used to be connected with ISKCON who was convicted and served time for child abuse?

Kirtanananda was in prison for 12 years or so. Im not sure if it was because of child abuse, but that was one of the accusations. There are plenty of material on the web about the case, but I dont have stomach to go further

Kirtanananda was beaten up by a crazy guy and went crazy himself, nobody had figured out the actual motive. He was never convicted of child abuse.

I did a search and it doesnt appear anyone is coming forward with any information related to the incident you mentioned above. Why dont you provide what you know and your sources for the information? What is the name of the suspect you mention above that was arrested and spent several years in Mayapura?
