What makes you perfect to understand what is imperfect/misinterpretation?user [152] · 2010-04-28
Its not a question of hate to you cgyoomh but just your way of expressing you questions which causes offense. If you were to phrase your questions in an offense less manner then your questions might get more attention and give knowledge. It is offensive to think of the pure spiritual master as an ordinary person and it is also a special month when we should be careful what we say. Hopefully one day you and all of us will realise the true greatness of Srila Prabhupada and understand him more and more.user [533] · 2010-04-29
What are some examples of Srila Prabhupadas purports you are finding imperfect? I have been reading his books for years and even as a skeptic havent found anything less than perfect. Im genuinely curious. If you have any problems with his "interpretations", surely the devotees here will be able to explain nicely for you. However, as kes has said, he is not at all an ordinary human being by any stretch of the imagination. I wish you the best. Hare Krsna.user [265] · 2010-04-29

You should not blindly believe in anything...especially in your own perfect understanding... ;) --- but there is a proper way to express your own disbelief and your counter-arguments. You do not have to agree with a sadhu 100% - you just have to maintain an attitude of respect at all times. Believe me, at times I have opinions that run contrary to those expressed by Srila Prabhupada, with respect to the Moon issue for example, but that is a very rare situation. Our rebellion against authority is often a reflection of our search for the Truth. And blind following hardly ever leads one to the Truth. Yet, respecting the views of others, especially great teachers, allows us to correct our own misconceptions. And have no doubt: we all have our misconceptions.
