Why we forget karma?

Niscala Dasi wrote a very nice and thoughtful article posted on Chakra.org:

Any comments on this? One objection is that she says ignorance of the cause of our suffering makes us more compassionate to help others because we feel we can actually do something for them. In her article it is difficult to distinguish between material help and spiritual help. It is not Vaishnava behavior to be indifferent to the suffering of others, material or spiritual, but at the same time we know that material compassion is not what we want to do.

Anyway the article is worthy of discussion and it is a question that I often have. What use is suffering in hell and whatnot if we just forget about it? My answer is that we dont forget about it, it makes us subconsciously reject sinful activities for a time being.

Yes, there is a gradual subconscious learning process.

She brings up one of the common objections against reincarnation. Here are listed and commented on the main ones: http://www.veda.harekrsna.cz/encyclopedia/reincarnation.htm
