Why dont you start chanting 16? If you have time to worship Jaganatha, Subhdra, Baladeva you should have time to chant 16 rounds too.user [366] · 2010-06-27
Deity worship in the age of Kali is just a supplementary to the chanting of the holy name of the Lord.I would first work on chanting 16 rounds before installing deities. Doing it the other way wont work.

reminds me of the story where a butcher had kept the salagram shila on his weighing scales and a brahmana took it away. The Lord appeared to the Brahmana in a dream and told him he was happy to be swinging on the butchers scales.tad aham bhakty upahrtam ashnaami, priyataatmanah......BG 9:26

Lord Jagannath especially just wants our affection and offerings. He is everywhere but He appears in a form to recieve from His devotees. Installation is not even required for the home. Pray and see what answer you receive from Him. Affection for Him and reciprocation from Him inspires us to chant. He carries what we lack and preserves what we have. Srila Prabhupada is His dearmost devotee and worshipping and loving him pleases the Lord like nothing else. He says. "One who claims to be My devotee is not My devotee, but one who is the devotee of My devotee is My devptee." Srila Prabhupada ki jaya!!user [137] · 2010-07-07
