life expectation

Is life expectancy fixed? I have read that everyone has a certain number of fixed breaths for their lifetime in every birth. But also I have read that yoga & right type of foods can increase the duration of life.

around 100 years in Kali-Yuga... there is no need to increase material life. Some demons want to be immortal, but what is the use of having immortal material body? Devotees may go to hell and serve even there, but they are not interested in long life. They are also happy to reborn again and again - but just to serve devotees life after life - whether in material or spiritual life in any place... Hope this helps a bit...user [152] · 2010-12-01
