There are many pictures of Srila Prabhupada with his own disciples who were wearing Radha Kunda tilak.

Although Gopi chandan is the main tilak of the Gaudiya Vaisnava sampradaya, when visiting Radha Kunda and Shyama Kunda one should wear these tilaks, sprinkle drops of water from both kundas on ones head and enter deep into the mood of these places by listening to the pastimes and bhajans. These activities are recommended by Srila Raghunath das Goswami.

Which ever tilak you wear it is important to understand its meaning and wear it with the mood of humility and service, if you are wearing any tilak to make bold statements then it becomes superficial and just another extension of ones ego. As we all know looking like a devotee is easy, behaving like a devotee and having the real mood in ones heart and consciousness is another thing.
