Never heard about that. Its maybe in the bloopers. Lol! :Duser [33] · 2007-08-14
Where did you read this?user [2] · 2007-08-14
I do not remember exactly where, but definitely was in some shastra, that is why I ask :)user [13] · 2007-08-14
Yes, this is explained by acaryas, perhaps Visvanatha Chakravarti. Prahladananda Swami was the first person to tell me about this. Dwaraka Krishna falls into the river, and Vasudeva fishes out Vrndavan Krishna, who is always in Vrndavan.user [33] · 2007-08-14
Such a sweet pastime! Hare Krishna!user [2] · 2007-08-15
I heard that Yamuna wanted to play with Krishna, so she did and returned the baby after. I understand Yamuna, such opportunities are rare. I might doubt that Vasudeva appreciated the trick though. :)I would like to know the source... who?.. oh I know ... maybe VEDA?

Nice pastime...:)

It makes perfect sense because when they are leaving Vrindavan to Mathura with Akrura Krishna also gets exchanged.user [38] · 2007-08-15
Its mentioned in SB 1.19.6p. and 3.2.17p. but without the source commentary. I checked VCTs and JGs works in my e-archives but couldnt find any elaboration. JGs Gopala Campu only hints at this in 3.130:128. Madhukantha said, "Then, following Lord Krsnas command, Yogamaya arranged
that four-handed Lord Narayana took birth from Vasudeva, and she also arranged
that because of Vasudevas fear, Lord Narayana changed Himself into the
two-handed form of Krsna to Yasoda. There he saw Yasodas infant boy and infant
girl. Seeing Krsnas four-handed form, Vasudeva understood that Krsna is the
Supreme Personality of Godhead. He doubted that Krsna was his own son. He had no
power to say how his son was first four-handed and then two-handed. Vasudeva
could not understand anything of what just happened."
129. Snigdhakantha said, "He did not understand. Still,he place his son there
and, taking the girl with him, left. That is why the names Agama-sastras and
other scriptures call Lord Krsna by the names Nanda-nandana, Nandatmaja,
Nandaja, Nanda-tanaya (Nandas son), Ballavi-nandana (a gopis son), and
many other like names."
130. Smiling, he continued, "At first it may not have been accurate to say that
Krsna is Nanda'92s son. But in the course of time it became accurate. It became
the truth."
131. Smiling, he continued, "Tell us how Krsna father Vasudeva came to Vraja."
132. Madhukantha said: "The shackles fell from Vasudevas feet. The prison
guards fell asleep. Sesa became like an umbrella. The Yamuna became shallow like
a field covered with water. In this way Vasudeva carried Krsna to Nandas home.
Now I have told you everything. Of whom shall I speak now?"

Yes he did .This is how it goes.Radhanath Swami said this on Janmashtami. The krishna Vasudev was carring was krishna in Mathura mood. When he slipped and fell in Yamuna,he changed into Krishna in Vrindavan mood.Remember when Akura was taking Krishna Balaram to Mathura they also swam in Yamuna and Akura saw Krishna as Vishnu lying on Balaram as Ananta sesa.Krishna in Vrindavan always enjoys whan he wants to fight ,he changes his mood into Mathura krishna. This was said by Radhanath Swami and Bhakti Dhira Damodara Swami
