bad idea, IMO, because eventually this will backfire. people get upset and prejudiced against all hare krsnas, not only the one who cheated them.sometimes devotees refer to money-making schemes other than book-distribution as "sankirtan" as well - selling paintings, candles, or car stickers. if youre doing some business not related to KC and cheat people in the process, that puts you in the same category as any other criminal. they are also welcome to chant hare krsna and do service - and become purified, eventually, and take up an honest occupation. i wouldnt consider any cheating activity, even on behalf of a temple, transcendental.
