A question on the structure of the Srimad Bhagavatam

Philosophy · asked by user [] · 2007-08-18 · 3 answers
In the purport to Adi lila 2.91-92 Sri Caitanya Caritamrta, Srila Prabhupada firstly lists the ten subjects of the Srimad Bhagavatam, Sarga, Visarga, Sthana etc.

He then goes on to explain the two principles Asrita and Asraya, after which He says "The asrita exist under the original principle, the asraya. The first nine categories, described in the first nine cantos of Srimad-Bhagavatam, from creation to liberation-including the purusa-avataras; the incarnations; the marginal energy, or living entities; and the external energy, or material world-are all asrita. The prayers of Srimad-Bhagavatam, however, aim for the asraya-tattva, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna."

My question is, if the first nine cantos describe the first nine catagories, and the tenth describes Lord Sri Krsna (Asraya, the summom bonum). Where do the eleventh and twelth cantos fit in?

Sila Prabhupada clearly states cantos 1-9 are asrita and the 10 is asraya. The link does not say if 11 & 12 are asrita or asraya.

Jiva G. says there 10th canto is apasraya (i.e. asraya); topics of other cantos are therefore included in the asrita category.
