Because most of these war stories, global warming madness, new diseases and the like sounds like fiction to me.

the world leaders have an agenda: to control us. And to do that they are prepared to apply any tactic. If you read the news that Reuters, etc serve you (and the major news TV etc just draw the news from there) and believe them, you might be swallowing the untruth and be kept in convenient darkness.user [147] · 2007-09-01
War Stories, Global Warming, New Diseases... yes over fifty thousand civilians have been killed in Iraq in the past two years I think it said today when I logged in. Similar to how many men America lost in the Vietnam War. In just one day I think they said four car bombs killed 450 people. I dont know why but I believe it.Global warming scares me because I have lived through droughts and water is predicted to dry up in Kali yuga.
There are always new diseases, whenever the law of nature wants. There could be a plague at any time. I remember something a few years back about how the flu vaccination they made for Americans was useless because it was for the wrong strain of flu that was going around that winter and there wasnt going to be time to make any more before the season was over.
Ultimately newspapers are cheating us when they print a lot of things because the writers and editors have imperfect senses. Sometimes the writers blatantly cheat and make up stories, get caught and are fired. Some papers hide the fact that they are aligned with one political side or the other, or one religion or another. And I heard Srila Prabhupada compared them with gramya katha, or village talk. Not to give it too much importance or spend too much time on it. Also Srila Bhaktisiddanta said we could print a spiritual newspaper every second, or something like that, because there is constantly so much going on in the spiritual world at every moment.
The only thing I really would look at a newspaper for is if I needed a job or a used car, or maybe if one was lying around and I didnt have anything else to do like if I was waiting somewhere like a doctors office or something.

We are not talking here about the usual "karmis in ignorance" rhetoric. We are talking about deliberate disinformation feed with spoon to us. Read global warming caused by humans http://www.pariprashnena.com/discussion/11/is-global-warming-true .Or what you just said about the vaccine, for an informed person could be just another excuse to keep you tame with vaccine cheat for business.
If anybody here things that government is here to protect us and believes all the lies pouring, they have succumbed to their tricks.
Brahmana is supposed to be the head of society. If shudras cheat him, that means something is wrong.

Never trust the media, always qualify anything you learn that wayIn western countries the news media are not under any compulsion to tell the truth
they are only compelled not to slander
they lie regularly
