what is the correct pronunciation of the Hare Krishna maha mantra, is the name Rama spoken as Ram or as 2 syllable RA-MA.

I heard Jayadvaita Swami say that both are correct in sanskrit: Ram and Rama, but I would prefer to chant the full name, just in case.you know, manda sumanda matayo...

in russia they write XAPE instead or HARE.i guess they dont say xape xape.

Same as Russian "P" is a different sound than english "R", and Russian "E" is a different sound from English "E". Languages are amazing, arent they? But wait, in Hindi there are actually three ways to pronounce "T" and four ways to pronounce "D"!!! Far out :)
