actually, we are already in world war III.

Sankirtan?Harinam?
In contaminated air?poisoned food?
The WW lll is going to be nuclear!

Our external life may take a different course, depending on the regional circumstances, but such a breaking news shouldnt change anything to our internal life. If it does, it means we are not following the proper course already. Why waiting for such a moment to become serious? Death isnt waiting for WW III to come.

to chant and give prasadam (anything available offer-able) cannot be stopped, unless you are dead. Even to distribute literature can be done in extreme circumstances.

The profecy is near complete chaos in cities,with not much to eat..maybe some dead human bodies..water poisoned...infrastructures finished! the color of sky:red....

The only oasis: forests and some islands,where protected ones,with cows and agriculture survive.The Founder Acarya asked us to create such places,knowing that Kali Yuga will get worse and worse!

There are devotees who are in the process of creating such farms. One devotee posted a video on Dandavats.com several months ago.

But realistically, wouldnt the fall-out from such nuclear devastation reach world wide?

Thanks to the protection of Sri Krishna,there will still be several places that will still be sheltered:most probably,where there are forests and pure water,as well as some islands.Some big cities will certainly be completely destroyed,and eventual survivors would rather beg to die,as life will be intolerable,with all food and water poisoned,and weather very dry and hot.
But already,we can see how polluted the sacred rivers,Ganga/Yamuna are being polluted by ignorant industrialists,who just care for profit,and have no vision for the planets future.cities are getting monstrously huge,causing severe pollution.
Americanised food corporates have plans to influence the developing world to adopt the meat-centred diet,which will cause more and more forests devastation for pastures,and grains production.
So,concerned spiritualists should concentrate on creating such oasis of ideal living,with complete self-sufficiency,as our Founder Acarya repeatedly proposed.It doesnt mean city preaching should stop,but at the same time,the villages should be created,in case of nuclear war.The devotees who will eventually lose their bodies during war,will reincarnate in the oasis,while the great offenders against the laws of God,and those who disobeyed the orders of the spiritual master will have to take birth in destroyed zones or hellish planets!
Such movement towards simple living is not only being followed by vaisnavas,but there are now groups of Christians,who are also now conscious of Jesuss pure teachings,and are already creating such villages of peace and love.[see christianveg.org]
The meek or humble ones shall inherit the earth!,says the Bible...
Live a simple rural life,grow your own food,protect cows,says Srila Prabhupada...
So,why carry on offering to the Lord,preparations made with ghee containing slaughtered cows fat,vegetables spayed with different poisons,milk from exploited cows,thus increasing the wealth of asuras doing such businesses.Does the Lord really accept such offerings,or is it just for show and donations?
I recently read about a group of vaisnavas doing exactly as wished Srila Prabhupada,offering all pure ingredients for Janmastami festival,and its quite inspiring.....

I believe Srila Prabhupadas prediction was IF there is a third world war...it will start between Pakistan and India...I am sure someone has the exact quote. SP also said that war is the best opportunity for preaching...look at Bosnia!

I would like to agree with you rasa108 but the quotes on http://www.veda.harekrsna.cz/encyclopedia/worldwar.htm seem to suggest a definite ww3 not if.

I think you missed the point kes....in any case, regardless of the World War situation....we always have to fight the war on Maya - that is the main consideration for a devotee.
When asked about bombs, Srila Prabhupada said that we should see that Krsna has come to kill us....and chant the Holy Name.
