Not sure if Govindas International is still doing this (havent been there for a while) but they were selling quite a lot of demi-god items - t-shirts, murtis etc. Also, hip style imported clothing items among other things. The shop was catering to the hip LA crowd and was/is very popular shopping spot for "cool" stuff. Which reminds me now; isnt it offensive to wear the Lords images on a t-shirt or other clothing item?

It was in Texas that I saw the Shirdi Sai Baba murti but I dont remember which shop. Sorry. Also, saw lots of demi-god murtis.

Utah temple shop sells lots of demi-god murtis and questionable womens clothing (revealing).

Just check out Krishna.com and see a huge variety of non-Tulsi japa mala and neckbeads. One style of neckbeads is promoted to be the alternative when wearing "traditional style neckbeads" just would not be appropriate. What?

IMHO, the temple shops should remain traditional and in-line with Prabhupadas teachings. For example, I dont recall ever hearing it authorized to use jasper or some other stone for japa. Seems it would be very confusing to hear one thing from Srila Prabhupada and then go into a temple shop and see just the opposite being promoted.
