Proposal to the billionaires of Iskcon:
The New Jaladuta-Prabhupada floating temple/library.
It should include on board at least:
1. A pure devotee! [if non alive available....we still have HDG Srila Prabhupada,in the shape of one of His Paraphernalias-he is also eternally present in His books!]
2. Devotees of all nations and religions [no discriminations of age/sex etc..]
3. Srila Prabhupadas books in all available languages,as well as cookbooks/handicrafts/.DVDs
of vaisnava music/plays/T-shirts/souvenirs etc.etc....
4. Some expert musicians/dancers for paid shows at all ports.[sitar/flute/tablas/mrdanga/vina etc...] as well as dancers.
5. Expert cooks[international] for cooking exhibitions/prasadam..
6. One qualified captain! [ sannyasi/grhasta???] who truly follows the parampara route. In case of none available among devotees, hire one who will obey the directions of the devotees.
7. All aboard should be able to speak English,at least basic.
8. Everyone should be in a preaching mood, and not in a cruising one!
9. The Doulos ship[Christian] is financed by paid concerts/ volunteer crew who pays for their experience/ donations./sales of books/prasadam...Iskcon can have all the trips sponsored by wealthy members [or sponsor a devotee]
10.Offenders aboard will be left on desert islands.. :)

Who will own and run the New Jaladuta-Prabhupada?
It is owned and operated by ??'96 a charitable trust, registered in ??.
Where does the funding come from?
Half of the funding needed comes from the support of personnel on board given by friends, family and other supporters. Another quarter comes from the sale of books and non-book items (such as souvenirs) in the on board family book fair. The last quarter comes from gifts and donations given by individuals, trusts, foundations and community groups. It is not a government or corporate funded enterprise. Some local corporate sponsorship in the ports of call helps to reduce port and publicity expenses.
What do you do with the money?
The New Jaladuta-Prabhupada is a non-profit venture. Income received through donations or sales on board is used to fund port visit costs, vessel expenses, personnel needs and administration.
Who are all the people on board?
Volunteers from over 40 countries serve on board NJP They are mostly young people who have chosen to dedicate two years of their lives to be on board, learning to live and work together, and serving the communities in the ports visited. Additionally, the ship has a full complement of qualified crew, as required by international maritime regulations.
How can I join the ship?
Applicants must be over 18 years of age, and in full agreement with the beliefs and values of vaisnavism. If you would like to apply, the first step is to send us a preliminary interest form.
How much will I get paid?
All NJP crew and staff are volunteers. No-one '96 including the captain '96 is paid a salary.{??]Each one on board has to raise financial support to cover the expenses of their time on board.
Can I just come for a holiday cruise?
New Jaladuta-Prabhupada is classed as a passenger ship, but in reality there are no passengers.[this is debatable] The crew and staff on board are serving as volunteers, usually for a two-year term of service. Life and work on board is an intensive but very rewarding experience.
