Appearance days & meanings

Where can I get a concise list of meanings for our Vaishnava appearance/disappearance days? Or at least major ones. I need to print it out and send someone by postal mail.
Thanks

It would be great to make that site a wiki.user [38] · 2007-07-25
Interesting idea. There are already several wikis, http://hindupedia.com/ possibly being the most developed one. VEDAs Vedic Encyclopedia section is already mirrored at http://veda.krishna.com so its contents could be further transferred to a wiki and later it could be redirected there. But even now we are ready to incorporate relevant comments and content. However, since there is not much of such feedback and we didnt get any cooperators so far, Im a bit sceptical of such a wiki growing into significant proportions in a foreseeable future.
Another issue is a correct and balanced Vedic presentation on wikipedia, which is now hotly discussed.

I think people do not feel comfortable to give much feedback in the traditional way. It is my opinion that the same people who wont email you to contribute would contribute in a wiki. BTW, thanks for the link, and I had forgotten about the file in VCAL.user [38] · 2007-07-26
Imho, the difference wouldnt be very big, as seen from the devotee participation in Wikipedia. One thing is that VEDA has a good promotion so to give it up for wiki would be a step back, imho. But the wiki could serve as a source of upgrades for VEDA (a stable version). Ill discuss with my colleague and well wait to see what the Vanipedia will be all about before starting anything on our own.

I dont know if you can correlate devotee participation in Wikipedia to a devotee pedia. People may want to contribute to the site you have now.I am attaching the VCAL file which I just formatted in Word before I print it, maybe some devotees will find it useful.

Imho, _some_ correlation is due. Also, this spring there was an attempt by devotees from http://namahatta.org to start a section devoted to internet preaching. Devotees have shown some initial interest but without much input and after three months admin closed the project down due to devotee disinterest. Maybe its not a right time yet and there are still not many devotees online. Proactive ones already have their websites, blogs, forums to preach, etc. and dont feel like sharing their experiences. Thats how it looks to me.
