We realize that if we are experiencing his transcendental association so many other devotees certainly must be having many experiences to share also. Srila Prabhupada is not limited to time and space.

One day, I saw a book on my locker, when I went to get my work clothes:it was a book about spiritual life, but not Srila Prabhupadas.I asked every collegue if the book belonged to them, but they all said :no..From then,I started reading all books about spirituality:Sivananda...yogananda etc...and even got initiated in the Sivananda yoga club. They chose my name:Krishna! As I had long black hair!
But I didnt appreciate the boiled menu of the yoga club...

On my quest for experiences of life, I met a devotee in New York, and he gave me two books: Bhagavad Gita and krsna Book, and I read them on my way to Miami....Still,I thought : its too simple:just chant and be happy? spiritual life must be more complicated!

So, I didnt give up meat completely...till I tasted prasadam...and devotees association, with lots of festivals, prasadam, services of different kinds, initiation, travels, bloops, falling gurus....and still struggling with the mind...

Still, I thank Srila Prabhupada and his disciples to have changed my life and hope to progress in the future!

So,for your heavymetal music friend, put some Krsna conscious music for him,as it exists in all genres.Give him lots of prasadam and take him to sunday feasts.
I saw some youths once shaking their heads wildly in front of huge speakers blasting heavymetal music: I think one can go crazy and deaf after some time!
The human body and mind are delicate instruments, that can be destroyed if not handled with care!
Instruments such as the sitar, flute, tampura can heal someone as well as the voice of pure devotees....[google prabhupada mp3]

Hare Krsna,
thats it, he took me to his guru, bhaktibushan swami, from he is still preaching prabhupada in Argentina etc,.. i use to give to him every krsna gift i feel like. i remembered krsna through my mom actually, shes studying rajyoga where they understand krsna as through Brahma.. however, it was like i was also associating krsna through this friend ive got from skating eras on the streets, hehe, i was associating with the AS IT IS person, and now the guru maharajah is coming this weekend, and i am really surrendering to Krsna now, i am sure he likes my gifts as i am going to krsna through his, to his guru.

i do prefer to blast his ears with krsna bhajans. he is used to it.. last time i brought his home a tulsi leaf growing in my home, and give it to krsna then, he said "what is that" i think we are spiritual brothers as our qualifications had taken as our nature, i said, is for Krsna'b4s".

I once dreamed of being in a house with a devotee and this devotee was guiding me through the house to a door where the room was full with golden light. He opened the door and I payed obeisances to the person from whom the light was emanating. Whilst my head was on the ground I felt a hand touch the top of my head and my whole body was suddenly purified and filled with light...that hand was Srila Prabhupadas.

Years ago, when I moved to Korsnas Gard to serve at the BBT, I had a dream about Srila Prabhupada: In the dream I was on the German farm watching the murti of Srila Prabhupada. Suddenly he blinked his eyes, moved his head, smiled and came down from his vyasasan. Then he went to his room and wanted me to bring him a pen, which I immediately did. Then he
performed some other activities which I dont remember clearly, but I was still at his side. Finally he bestowed his mercy on me by putting his lotus feet on my head and the dream ended. I realized that Srila Prabhupada wanted to teach me - dull as I am - that the murti is not a statue and also to serve him with my pen. Which I still somehow try.

Srila Prabhupadas small murti was confiscated once by a custom officer at the Mexican border, from a devotee who,of course, felt very bad.The officer took the murti to his house and put him on a shelf, maybe thinking its got some material value.
But every time the officer entered the room, the head Prabhupada turned and followed him!
So,he started to offer incense, fruits to him,and started to look for other devotees to purchase books etc...
I also increased my faith I Lord Nrsimhadeva, the half-man half lion Avatar of Visnu, when during harinam in Paris, some thug was about to give, with a bottle,a serious blow on a devotees head from behind. The leader of the kirtan suddenly chanted the special bhajan to Nrsimhadeva and immediately,an invisible hand just took the hand of the thug, who was thrown behind!
The kirtan leader, carried on with Hare Krsna mantra, and not many knew what happenned!

In my dream I was looking at the murti of Srila Prabhupada. A wind came and blew his cloth over his face. I stepped forward to remove it but before I could do so Prabhupada looked up at me and said "I dont need your help."

I took it as meaning that to assist Prabhupada is for my benefit only. It is not that Im doing Prabhupada some kind of favour and he will later be obliged to take me back to godhead, like some kind of business transaction where I try to buy my way into Vaikuntha. Prabhupada doesnt need us, just like Krsna did not need Arjuna in order to win the battle.

Sometime around 1885 my sankirtan leader and myself were driving around a Calgary neighborhood looking for some good prospects,At the time, the temple was the home of a very nice initiated devotee family.

I said to my sankirtan leader upon approaching a rather smallish vacant hall for sale, " someday that will make a nice temple "

Several years later it was,and still is.

When I want guidance in my life, I usually find it in Srila Prabhupadas books. For instance when I discovered that the horse Id bred and raised was worth more than the mortgage on my house, I wondered if it was right to keep him, or if it would be better service to sell him and use the money to develop the self-reliant farm project that Im working on. Shortly after giving myself mental permission to sell the horse if it is the right thing to do, I happened to read a purport in the Srimad Bhagavatam where (I think) Maharaja Paraksit is leaving his kingdom. It mentions that as he is leaving, he bids farewell to his household animals. In the purport, Srila Prabhupada explains that household animals are family members and should be treated as such.

When I was wondering if my concern about world events was due to fear, or whether it was coming from Krsna, I prayed to my Deity, Giriraja, and pulled a book at random from my bookshelf. It happened to be "Beyond Illusion and Doubt." I opened it, again at random. The page I happened to open had part of the Bhagavad-Gita sloka, 10:10: dadami buddhi yogam tam. Now I have no doubt that my concern about the world situation is not illusion, but rather intelligence coming from Krsna. Since then, while developing the project where I hope to be able to assist devotees when they need refuge from the coming vipada predicted by Srila Prabhupada, Ive been having one mystical experience after another.

Just open any of Srila Prabhupadas books:He is ALIVE in his books, talking to YOU!
Its not a dream:its real instructions that he got from the whole disciplic succession up to Lord krishna, who is waiting for all of us to come back home to Him!

Hare Krishna! I am very interested to hear more about your farm project. Do you have a webpage or would you be interested in starting a thread about it so we can ask question etc?

Haribol Hari Bhakta Prabhu,

There is more information about our valley project on my monthly newsletter: http://personifiedastrology.org/newsletter.htm (It isnt connected to my astrology site, but I hosted it there because I already have the domain). You can read more about the valley project and the mystical experiences connected with it on the links on the left side of the newsletter.

Right now, until we are able to purchase the land in the valley through the sale of our current property, we are concentrating on learning skills that will be essential when the infrastructure is destroyed as Srila Prabhupada predicted. We are learning: how to keep the soil happy, how to save seeds, alternative energy practices such as making methane digesters and windmills, how to build comfortable dwellings using the materials available on site, how to store and process grains, how to make cooking oil, how to make soap, etc. Our plan is to have the knowledge, skills and tools to be able to welcome devotees (and potential devotees) who come at the last minute. Most devotees are too attached to their material situation to be able to see what is happening in the material world. When things fall apart, it will be important to be able to survive so that we can enthusiastically spread Lord Caitanyas Sankirtan Movement once the anarchy has dissipated. We have to protect the training and knowledge that Srila Prabhupada has given us.

During the Winter, I keep a cow that belongs to the Pioneer Farm Museum. This is probably because my Deity, Giriraja, likes burfi, and He gets a lot more dairy products when we have the cow. Ive posted some cooking videos, such as how to make mozarella cheese and how to make caramel (burfi) on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=FgB-pmwOhbw and http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gfve_-RMdTc

Id be happy to start a "Getting ready for the Vipada predicted by Srila Prabhupada" thread, but dont know how.

YS,

Anuttama

Hare Krishna,
I have had two dreams where Srila Prabhupada appeared.
In the first dream, he and I were sitting in a room somewhere; he was on a couch and I was sitting on the floor. I dont recall the exact course of the conversation, but he said to me, "You are good devotee."
In the second dream, a friend (the son of a GBC/iniating guru) and I were with Srila Prabhupada. We paid obeisances to him and he touched both of our bowed heads.
I do not deserve either of these dreams- to be honest, they really freaked me out! I am so fallen, so inconsistent in my sadhana... and the fact that Srila Prabhupada appeared in not one but two of my dreams shows just how unlimited his mercy is.

I always get my glimpses when fully awake, when thinking or meditating about Krishna or some devotee.

Once, pretty recently, I was reading an account of how someone met Srila Prabupada, in his first place in NY, in the early days. When I was reading that account, I imaged the picture how Prabhupada was sitting and preaching to the devotees, in that NY storefront. When doing that, suddenly I could see Prabhupada in his spiritual form, he was turning towards me, who was standing beside, and said a few words to me. The vision, or glimpse just lasted maybe a tenth of a second, but in that second I felt how I understood Prabhupadas mission, and suddenly everything he said or have written, made sense to me.

Before this I have had so doubts, or critique of what Prabhupada did. But after this, all of that disappeared forever. All might doubts about Prabhupada or his mission disappeared in an instant, and stayed like that.
Now, every time I think about Prabhupada, I see him in the shape of my vision, and it just fills me with happiness and I have become a total supporter of his mission, and cannot anymore see any fault in what he did. The seemingly faults, that others see, just dont concern me anymore. They have lost all their importance.

So much happened in that split second, so that it is unbelievable and unexplainable.

When I was completely new in KC, maybe just started to chant some rounds, i had a dream with SP, it was like some public program, he sit on his vyasasan, and I went to sit as near as possible...somehow he catch my hand and during the whole lecture he hold my hand. It was very special, such a shelter! I still remember, he had such a small palm!

This dream is set in a rural farmhouse of unknown location. It occurred in the late 1980s. There were only three persons in the dream : Prabhupada , another disciple and myself. Everything took place in an upstairs room which was rather small. The other disciple was either Prabhupadas secretary or someone performing these type of duties. Prabhupada and I were sitting face to face on either side of a low desk, as he was accustomed to do. The other devotee was behind me , busy reshelving books and filing papers. He played no other part in the scene.
I simply asked one question of my spiritual master :
" Will I ever be able to preach properly? "

Prabhupadas answer : " Not really!"

So I was abit taken aback by this, reflecting on the background of the Gaudiya Sampradaya. All of Prabhupadas books and instuctions were aimed at our becoming preachers. So then I asked ,

" Well, then, what should I do? "

Prabhupadas answer : " I own this woods and you can be the caretaker of it. "

This was totally amazing to me in the dream. I was so happy that Id had darshan with Prabhupada and most importantly that he had given me a personal service. The only problem was that as I began to return to "normal" consciousness, I realized that I had forgotten to ask Prabhupada exactly where this "woods" was located. Being only half awake , I tried to return to the dream state , to ask Prabhupada the location. However , this was unsuccessful; I couldnt return to the dream scene.
Two important points in regards to this location problem.
I had within the last couple years(before the dream) acquired a 4 acre forest lot which is surrounded by over 700 acres of State forest land
I had at that time been estranged from Iskcon for over ten years.
So as I began to reflect on the location issue , I was thinking, " Well, Im certainly not going back to Iskcon." So , I just began to accept that " the woods " were this 4 acre lot that I was more or less thinking as my property. Of course, ultimately any sincere disciple considers everything in his possession to be the property of his spiritual master. So there was some sense of this but subsequently I refer to this forest lot as Prabhupadas lot. Another pet name is Launchpad Goloka.
