Did Arjuna go to Vaikuntha or Goloka?

This sounds obvious but I have heard two versions
1. Arjunas Sakhya rasa is in the mood of awe and reverence therefore he went to Vaikuntha
2. Arjunas Sakhya rasa is spontaneous friendship and he went to Goloka.
I dont have vedabase at the moment so I cant search on this...any of the pandits have the correct answer with a quote(s) to back this up?
[cite] rasa108: The only reference I see in the quote that relates to the question is "He beheld Govinda..." - can we assume then that it is Goloka?
Im not sure we can assume it is Goloka. The description says that Govinda is holding terrible weapons, which isnt Krsnas mood in Goloka, but seems more appropriate to the mood of Vaikuntha.

From the Mahabharata, Svargarohanika Parva, "Having bathed in the celestial river Ganga, sacred and sanctifying and ever adored by the Rishis, he cast off his human body. Assuming then a celestial form, king Yudhishthira the just, in consequence of that bath, became divested of all his enmities and grief. Surrounded by the deities, the Kuru king Yudhishthira then proceeded from that spot. He was accompanied by Dharma, and the great Rishis uttered his praises. Indeed, he reached that place where those foremost of men, those heroes, viz., the Pandavas and the Dhartarashtras, freed from (human) wrath, were enjoying each his respective status.Vaishampayana said, "King Yudhishthira, thus praised by the gods, the Maruts and the Rishis, proceeded to that place where those foremost ones of Kuru'92s race were. He beheld Govinda endued with his Brahma-form. It resembled that form of his which had been seen before and which, therefore, helped the recognition. Blazing forth in that form of his, he was adorned with celestial weapons, such as the terrible discus and others in their respective embodied forms. He was being adored by the heroic Phalguna, who also was endued with a blazing effulgence. The son of Kunti beheld the slayer of Madhu also in his own form. Those two foremost of Beings, adored by all the gods, beholding Yudhishthira, received him with proper honours."

My understanding was always that he is perpetually taking part in Krsnas naralila in different universes.
[cite] ccd:[/cite]
My understanding was always that he is perpetually taking part in Krsnas naralila in different universes.
That would be supported by the Gita 4.5 purport: "Devotees like Arjuna are constant companions of the Lord, and whenever the Lord incarnates, the associate devotees also incarnate in order to serve the Lord in different capacities. Arjuna is one of these devotees, and in this verse it is understood that some millions of years ago when Lord Kruc0u803 su803 nu803 a spoke the Bhagavad-gu299 tu257 to the sun-god Vivasvu257 n, Arjuna, in a different capacity, was also present"
This was also the topic of the Prabhupada class I listened to this morning: "Arjuna was devotee of Krsna. But to clear the idea of Krsna, as the rascals take, he asked this question, aparam bhavato janma, that "Your birth is just recently, say a hundred years ago, but the sun planet? Millions, millions of years. How can I believe that you spoke this philosophy, or science, to the sun-god, Vivasvan?" So the reply was that "My dear Arjuna, you are My devotee. Whenever I appear, you also appear, but I remember what I spoke to the sun-god. You were also present at that time with Me, but you have forgotten. I have not forgotten." (74/02/18 Bombay, Bhagavad-gita 7.3)

There is also the cowherd boy Arjuna who is Krishnas friend in Vraja lila. (Just so no confusion arises as to which Arjuna is being discussed)
