In this Age of Kali, people are mostly illiterate, and a great percentage never read books,or have internet connection!
So, living teachers are required, who can explain to people wishing to learn about Krishna, and change their way of living,as they have been misled by cheating leaders, even in religious clothes.
A lot of simple people are ready to follow the vaisnava way of life,if the teachers are honest, and care for them.We have seen in the past that the intelligent or wealthy people are not so much interested in changing their ways, even though they met Srila Prabhupada. No one Indian family gave him a disciple and only in the West,he made many disciples, who, although from low born families and full of bad habits, gave all their energies to spread Krishna Consciousness around the world.
Millions of books sold, but the main asset is the teacher, who can live by his example, and so,inspire others to join.
