Where did you hear the news. I have heard he has goven up meat (again)

It is baffling to me that he would ever have eaten any part of a murdered creature also. Tibet is not a vegetarian culture.From what I read they are only just making inroads in that area. In the first lilnk above you will see that the Dalia Lama stopped KFC from opening a Tibetan franchise.

I have read that he has said he "tried"to be vegetarian buut he became sick and his doctor advised he should eat the bodis of murdered creatures so he went back. Then I read that he had stopped again. There is a more recent report of him tucking in to the remains of creatures at some conference but I have seen no real evidence of that.

So where did you hear it from

The guy who wrote this is a Buddhist and an author.

If this is true, then the Dalai Lama is a complete hypocrit!

People are really misled nowadays,in the name of great religions!
As Lord Buddha is one of the ten Avatars,I think it would be wise to start a campaign to denounce his hypocrisy,by petitions,illuminate the public with the real teachings of Buddha,who,like all Avataras,teach non-violence to the animals,especially cows.
He is supposed to be the real incarnation of Lord Buddha...and it can now be assumed that he is a fraud!
Avatars are noted by their behaviour....

He must also have a nice bank balance...in Switzerland!

The Dalai Lama isnt supposed to be the reincarnation of Lord Buddha, in all the words recorded of the recent Buddha he doesntT teach on non-violence especially to cows. He teaches no intended violence to anyone or anything. I would like to see evidence of a bank account in Switzerland.

He might be a hypocrite but that doesnt mean he is a fraud.

I dont disagree with you about avatars, but he is not an avatar, I think the term is Tulku, he is not God the claim is he is a being who chooses consciously to reincarnate.
