Hare Krishna. AGTSP. Can anyone tell me how much time elapsed between Srila Sukadeva Goswamis first telling of the Bhagavatam to Maharaja Parikshit and the second telling at Naimisaranya? Thank you.

thanks veda.wish i had more time to read about your vedic encyclopedia.
i noticed it several years back.
i was expecting an answer like 5 to 50 years later. or either that it wasnt known.
but i was interested in whether any known events made it clear when the thousand year sacrifice at naimisaranya had begun etc.
or whether srila prabhupada and his works have any specific mention of the time frame.
its all so interesting.
one thing i noticed in your answer [veda] was that for one an author [Nayana-ranjana Das] is given for that piece and secondly i found it interesting that it is there stated that sukadeva first spoke it, then later the kumaras spoke it to narada muni. and then around 2000 bc suta speaks it at naimisaranya.
i guess this makes one ponder the nature of vyasdeva in so far as srila prabhupada states that vyasas despodency was answered by narada munis instructions to illucidate on the supreme PERSONALITY of godhead -- sri krishna.
im not qualified to discuss this. and on top of that am in a hurry here at lunch.
thanks.

Yes, Vyasadevas date of writing SB is missing there. SB 1.3.43 hints on its appearance time though.Im not aware of Prabhupadas elaboration on this or any other sources to specify the Naimisaranya time frame.
Btw, other Puranas also usually start with the Naimasaranya setup, the difference is that the sages ask specific questions to Sutaji.
Nayana-ranjana das quoted Padma P. and Bhaktivinoda Thakuras work in a conference from which I took this text verbatim.
