Thats not my ambition. 8)Reiki is a type of prana, very subtle one. One should differentiate between TJR (traditional Japanese Reiki) including Usui Reiki, and New Age varieties with many heterodox additions. I wouldnt recommend the latter ones.

Its definitely easy to merge the the two since devotees are involved with controlling and purifying subtle energy (e.g., prana)....dangerous ground as there is actually only one way to purify our existence...chanting seriously the Holy names.user [24] · 2008-02-05
new agey stuff is tama-guna madness. Nothing even close to sattva despite what many devotees may argue. Heres a relevant secular news article:

I heard that Gaura-govinda Swami once slapped the ghost-busting devotee who does yajnas to get rid of the influence of ghosts (Cant recall his name, Citra something, disciple of Jayapataka Swami) and told him that such practices constitute nama-aparadha. Has anyone heard this story?user [24] · 2008-02-05
