Why is it that we dont celebrate the appearance day of Lord Buddha if He is Krishna?

We dont worship all forms of the Lord in the same way, we focus on the main ones: Sri Nrsimha, Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Sri Balarama (out of Dasavatara) and Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai. Moreover, Gautama Buddha is considered only a saktyavesa avatara - how many of them do we worship? So he has a secondary importance but there is no problem to remember him by reading about his lila, imho. Appearance days of avataras:
