Using scientific quotes for preaching

I have heard devotees use quotes from current scientific discoveries that are in consonance with the vedic understanding.
The problem is that scientists are always changing their views and the quotes devotees use may be outdated or incorrect in a scientist eyes.
So should devotees use modern science quotes to support their arguments or not?

Ill say: "Yes, its only pratyaksa and anumana level, it shouldnt be mistaken as sabda level, the real science which gives a direct experience of supramundane reality."This preaching is meant for people who accept modernist scientific paradigm - to undermine it and turn their attention to Vedic wisdom, which is ultimately spiritual.
