Is there a way to know ones varna qualities?

The clue to knowing your varna is in Bhagavad-gita 4.13 (catur-varnyam maya srstam, guna-karma-vibhagasah). There are 4 varnas based on qualities and work. So these are the two primary ways to determine your varna, i.e:

1. Guna. Varna corresponds with the modes. Study the symptoms of the modes and how they relate to yourself and you can surely know your varna. In the Anu-gita It is stated that each varna broadly corresponds to each mode.

2. Karma. Determine what type of work you like doing and are good at naturally doing without any excessive endeavour.

If you cant figure it out, or want to confirm your diagnosis, ask someone who knows you well, or even someone knowledgeable who knows the right questions to ask.
