Krishnas and Radharanis Tilak

Philosophy · asked by user [] · 2008-07-18 · 2 answers
I have two questions:
1) Does Radharani wear a tilak? If not, why?

2) Krishna wears a tilak. But I heard from a devotee that prabhupad said that he wears a tilak but he does not wear the tulasi underneath like we do. Is this true? I have seen in all our temples deities that Krishna has a tulasi painted as well with his tilak

I will be very grateful if somebody replies to this query.
Thank you! Haribol!

I would like to find the quote for you but cant seem to locate it right now but Srila Prabhupada instructed (in a letter if I remember correctly) that Srimati Radharani wears only the red dot.

Haribol, I believe the instruction was given in London where he instructed that Radharani only has sindoor and that Krishna should only a have a red "U" tilak, although many temples have painted thier deities with the regular thilak with tulasi leaf.
