what one person considers "good relationships" may be completely unacceptable to another. devotees come from all types of backgrounds, carrying over all types of different traits into their devotional life--until theyre free from all material tinges.

ive experienced very different atmospheres in different temples, and always at least some of the devotees wanted things to be that way.

from your question, and what you say about yourself in your profile (nil), its impossible to guess what type of surrounding you might consider conducive.

...look for a Temple with a Temple President an a fullly functioning Temple Board,there should be regular harinam and book distribution should be a priority there.
Temples that do not make devotees and only take money from the Indian congregation should be avoided.

Subjectively speaking, the most inspiring temple of those I had a chance to visit in US, Europe and India in past 16 years was in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Not sure about gurukula there. Second was probably the Hungarian farm, then Prabhupadadesh, Italy.
