Standard prayers and protocol for giving a class in ISKCON AFTER Jaya Radha Madhava is sung??

I have heard devotees chant many things before giving class: Mangalacaranam, 1/2 Mangalacaranam, no Mangalacaranam, Prabhupadas pranams, their gurus pranams, Hare Krsna, simply Srila Prabhupada ki jaya, Vancakalpa....,other things from sastra, etc....
I have heard them repeat the verse word for word in English, call and response for the verse, no call and response, etc....
Does anyone know what is correct and/or what Srila Prabhupada did?

When I first saw this question it made me laugh to myself because I can hardly think of any two classes that began with the same format. The only rule seems to be that the more prestigious the speaker, the more likely he will chant a mantra that Ive never heard before.user [311] · 2008-11-13
I heard a seminar by Jayadvaita Swami regarding some of these things and he said that Prabhupada ALWAYS chanted the entire Mangalacaranam prayers. I am still researching this as I just want to know what is authorized.user [2] · 2008-11-13

I think I saw a standard outlined some 20 years back. I do not think anyone is following the standard, people for some reason do it their own way and standard was never agreed anyway by all. Besides the Prabhupadas example, devotees who lived in India, make their own Indian standard and it spread all over. Prabhupada personally trained devotees in how to give Bhagavatam and besides Om namo bhagavate vasudevaya he did not insist on anything, besides the actual sanskrit chanting.

Are their any ISKCON GBC guidelines on this invocation styles ??OR
if anyone has Srila Prabhupada BG class and SBM class tapes, then we can make a transcript of the
invocations to be used before class.
of course, Srila Prabhupada ended all his lectures with (( THANK YOU VERY MUCH. )).

Exactly - we can not imitate Prabhupada and end our invocation prayers with "Thank you very much" - it is good to stick close to his standards and the truth is that he did not follow any specific - except for singing Jaya Radha Madhava, sometimes he would skip even twelve syllable mantra - which, he said, we should chant and that forms the invocation to Bhagavatam itself.
