When is it OK to donate used Hare Krishna books?

At my work they have an annual picinic. I never go because its basically a meat-eaters picinic. They do a number of fund raisers throughout the year to pay for the food, etc. Next week theyre having a used book sale. I naturally have a some used Hare Krishna books that I wouldnt mind replacing if it means someone new gets a book.
Should I donate a few books, such as Bhagavad-gita As It Is, the Hare Krishna Book of Vegetarian Cooking, and maybe a few others (theyre accepting 5 per donor), knowing the proceeds will partially go to buying meat? Theyre selling them at $1 for hardcover or $0.50 for paperback. The books are worth much more (nearly new condition), apart from their transcendental value.

The meat involvement is scary.I would distribute them on a quick raid street sankirtan. One time a temple had a few boxes of old books, some of them a little damaged or brown, you know.
I just said to people that they had ancient knowledge and had pertained to spiritual people and accepted whatever donation they would give.
I sold them all. No problem.

...donate the books, there is no karma involved with book distribution.
