Plastering text all over His Divine Graces Lotus Body

Other · asked by user [] · 2009-08-17 · 4 answers
Is it alright to plaster text all over His Divine Graces Beautiful Lotus Body as long as it is on the cover of BTP? Is anyone in a position to get this stopped?

The GBC is in a position to make BTP obsolete by accepting the system of initiations that Srila Prabhupada ordered.

Sorry, I didnt know the answer to your first question, so I answered the second.

I dont have any connection to the publishing of BTP; but what would you suggest? They should make the pictures of Srila Prabhupada smaller so that the text does not infringe upon his image? If this is an offense, is it an offense when text is printed over the image of other devotees? I took a look at a few BTG magazines Ive saved and noted that although few covers featured Srila Prabhupada, one from 2006 has text printed across middle of a large Tulasi plant featured on the cover, right in the middle of the page. Why dont you write to BTG and ask them about that? Or is it only an offense when BTP does it?

i hoped you or some other kind soul reading might have some influence.

In the case of divine personalities like Srila Prabhupada, they are present in their photos, not like us conditioned souls. The large photos of Srila Prabhupada on the cover of BTP are wonderful and spiritually powerful, let BTP figure out a solution. Srila Prabhupada is the Jagat Guru Shatyavesh Avatar, Yuga Dharma Hare Krishna Nama Sankirtana Acarya, most worshipable divine personality of the next 10,000 years for devotees in ISKCON and IRM; we aspiring conditioned souls are all His menial servants-how could text on us be a problem, if it serves Him?

Srimate Tulasi devi is very dear to Lord Krishna and an eternal divine personality, what is your verdict?

it seems hypocritical if anyone, members of ISKCON, IRM or Gaudiya Math claim allegiance to Srila Prabhupad, get benefited by this, but do not treat Srila Prabhupada with the respect due Him, whether it be by refusing to call him by his rightful title of "Prabhupada", or plastering text all over his transcendental divine vapu, etc. You get the picture.
