what exactly does "dristavan asi" means whether it is 1. as you have seen OR 2. as you are seeing (BG 11.52 and 11.53)?
will u please clarify the exact relation between the word-to-word meaning of these verses and English translation of these verses?

Drstavan asi is the present tense while drstavan is the past tense (as in Brhad Bhagavatamrta 1.7.64). Have seen is more exact - the seeing started some time ago and still continues.
