In your (preaching) experience -
What are the "killer questions"?
What questions are most likely to receive an angry reply?
What questions will least likely receive a straightforward reply?
What questions are most likely to put an end to communication?
What are the questions that one should therefore be most careful with?

The sensitive ones, hitting the false ego hard. Prabhupada was expert in getting his points across even in hostile situations, never getting offended and never offending others.

[br]We might disagree on this, but I think his status has something to do with it too. For example, I have an innate respect for any ordained person (or of similar status) of any religion. I have been told things by brahmacaris or heard from sannyasis that if a lay or commoner would say them to me, I would be very much offended. But I wasnt when they came from an ordained person, I was only confused sometimes.

Within ISKCON we accept so much vedic nonsense, but refuse to accept the essentials.Ones devotional status is important on wether others are willing to give a sensitive receptive ear.Recently i attempted to understand the veiws of mothers, whose aversion to young girls getting married in their early puberty and what were the problems with accepting this essential spiritual ingredient.user [459] · 2009-10-25
They certainly approached it from a heart on the sleevementality, and straight away when the discussion attacked their comfortable entrenched western female prejudices it literally exploded.Faced by the proposition of single women having sex with cheating men, then either aborting ,going home to mum or begging from the government, most were still insistent that they still felt considerable aversion to this particular threat.user [2] · 2009-10-25
killer question nowadays: Who is your spiritual master? Made by a fanatic, usually breaks all forms of free unprejudiced communication.user [418] · 2009-11-29
All glories to Srila Prabhupada:Observed-seems it is not so much the question itself, but the attitude behind it which kills.
Chapter 16, Verse 4.
Arrogance, pride, anger, conceit, harshness and ignorance--these qualities belong to those of demoniac nature, O son of Prtha.
Chapter 17, Verse 15.
Austerity of speech consists in speaking truthfully and beneficially and in avoiding speech that offends. One should also recite the Vedas regularly.
Chapter 5, Verse 7
One who is on the path of liberation by Krsna consciousness is very dear to every living being, and every living being is dear to him. This is due to his Krsna consciousness. Such a person cannot think of any living being as separate from Krsna, just as the leaves and branches of a tree are not separate from the tree. He knows very well that by pouring water on the root of the tree, the water will be distributed to all the leaves and branches, or by supplying food to the stomach, the energy is automatically distributed throughout the body. Because one who works in Krsna consciousness is servant to all, he is very dear to everyone. And, because everyone is satisfied by his work, he is pure in consciousness. Because he is pure in consciousness, his mind is completely controlled. And, because his mind is controlled, his senses are also controlled. Because his mind is always fixed on Krsna, there is no chance of his being deviated from Krsna. Nor is there a chance that he will engage his senses in matters other than the service of the Lord. He does not like to hear anything except topics relating to Krsna; he does not like to eat anything which is not offered to Krsna; and he does not wish to go anywhere if Krsna is not involved. Therefore, his senses are controlled. A man of controlled senses cannot be offensive to anyone.
16. 1-3
Akrodha means to check anger. Even if there is provocation one should be tolerant, for once one becomes angry his whole body becomes polluted. Anger is a product of the modes of passion and lust, so one who is transcendentally situated should check himself from anger. Apaisunam means that one should not find fault with others or correct them unnecessarily. Of course to call a thief a thief is not faultfinding, but to call an honest person a thief is very much offensive for one who is making advancement in spiritual life.

Translation: Every man should act like this: when he meets a person more qualified than himself he should be very pleased; when he meets someone less qualified than himself, he should be compassionate toward him; and when he meets someone equal to himself, he should make friendship with him. In this way one is never affected by the threefold miseries of this material world.
Purport by Srila Prabhupada: Generally when we find someone more qualified than ourselves, we become envious of him; when we find someone less qualified, we deride him; and when we find someone equal we become very proud of our activities. Theses are the causes of all material tribulations. The great sage Narada therefore advised that a devotee should act perfectly. Instead of being envious of a more qualified man, one should be jolly to receive him. Instead of being oppressive to a less qualified man, one should be compassionate toward him just to raise him to the proper standard. And when one meets an equal, instead of being proud of ones own activities before him, one should treat him as friend. One should also have compassion for the people in general, who are suffering due to forgetfulness of Krsna. These important functions will make one happy within this material world.
Therefore Prabhupada says, '93The Krsna consciousness movement can create an exemplary society wherein there is no envy at all." Prabhupada says in the concluding lines of his purport, "One should also have compassion for the people in general who are suffering due to forgetfullness of Krsna.'94 Who becomes compassionate for the people in general? One who is a completely Krsna conscious person, who sees Krsna everywhere; only he can become compassionate. Otherwise, how can one have compassion? The jiva is suffering. He is Krsnas jiva, so why is he suffering? Its because of his forgetfulness of Krsna. One who sees Krsna and who sess the jivas relationsip with Krsna, he becomes compassionate. Otherwise, there is no question of compassion. This is most important. Only such a Vaisnava who sees Krsna everywhere is a completely Krsna conscious person. He becomes compassionate."
