How will u defeat the philosophy described below?
Philosophy Starts:
"
- There is some person (so called God) who has created this whole world.
- He has created all the things for his enjoyment and ENTERTAINMENT i.e. living as well as non-living
- ALL the ways of gaining knowledge i.e. 1] direct, 2] conclusive and 3] acceptance of word of higher authorities are MISLEADING AND WRONG.
- MISLEADING in the sense that the so called God only inspires different people at different times to generate some philosophy
whether it be vaishnavism, atheism, theism, impersonalism etc. etc. and empowers different philosophies with some strong points as well as some shortcomings,
with the help of some people like Krishna, Jesus, Mohamad, etc.
And God derives pleasure in observing different people following different philosophies and sometimes fighting or sometimes changing parties etc.
- AND Actual Absolute truth is that whatever I described above."
Philosophy ends.
I hope you got my point.
Please do not take any offenses.

Is there a progression of points? The 2nd point is refuted by the existence of duhkha, suffering.Otherwise its not about defeating some philosophy but first establishing it. If its not based on evidence, it cant be established.

>And God derives pleasure in observing different people following different philosophies and sometimes fighting or sometimes changing parties etc.Looks like we are talking about Devil not about God.

Yes looks like some one liste a few confusions... do we need to answer it?user [449] · 2009-11-04
> Is there a progression of points? The 2nd point is refuted by the existence of duhkha, suffering.philosophy says: "sufferings are there; but God has nothing to do with our sufferings he is just enjoying in his own way. "
> Otherwise its not about defeating some philosophy but first establishing it. If its not based on evidence, it cant be established.
Philosophy says "all the ways of gaining knowledge are WRONG and are relatively based on some person following that way of gaining knowledge. Hence, no question of evidence.!!"
Definition of relatively based:
Consider evidence "All the things in this world are nicely arranged hence there is a creator of the world" ............... Philosophy of theism
>>>Refutation by follower of THIS philosophy: If you have to consider science , then science only has proved that our senses are limited hence it is to your imperfect senses that it is appearing world is nicely arranged. Otherwise it may not be. We are completely in delusion.
Conclusion of this philosophy:
You have to choose your own way of living life i.e. the way which you like or feel happy to follow.
And it is not that some philosophy is correct and some other philosophy is wrong. All are on the same platform...
It is just your choice to live life in a particular way.

>ALL the ways of gaining knowledge i.e. 1] direct, 2] conclusive and 3] acceptance of word of higher authorities are MISLEADING AND WRONG.If all the ways of gaining knowledge are wrong, what guarantee is that this philosophy is right. This philosophy is also wrong because it comes out of direct mental speculation.
>There is some person (so called God) who has created this whole world.
>And God derives pleasure in observing different people following different philosophies and sometimes fighting or sometimes changing parties etc
Because all the ways of gaining knowledge are wrong, above statements are also wrong. This philosophy also can not be trusted because acceptance of word of higher authorities are MISLEADING AND WRONG.
There is only one thing right in this philosophy which is that all the ways of gaining knowledge are wrong. Once it is proven that all ways of gaining knowledge are wrong, it proves that rest of the philosophy is wrong, because all the ways to reach to those conclusions are wrong.
I hope, I am all right or am I also wrong?

Q. There is some person (so called God) who has created this whole world. A. Not only created this entire universe, but millions of such universes and He has created what lies beyond it as well. Everything is made up of Him, including us. He expands Himself into countless forms and energies eternally and He is ever-expanding, full of all knowledge and blissfulness. Our souls share His divine attributes in minute quantities, but material bodies are full of ignorance, misery and are limited and temporary.
Q He has created all the things for his enjoyment and ENTERTAINMENT i.e. living as well as non-living
A. The material world is created for the enjoyment of the REBELLIOUS souls who want to lord it over material nature by entertaining the false conception that "i know, think, feel, am everything" and "Gods things are mine" .
Q ALL the ways of gaining knowledge i.e. 1] direct, 2] conclusive and 3] acceptance of word of higher authorities are MISLEADING AND WRONG.
A. Direct and conclusive are inferior. Acceptance of higher authorities is the only way to know the Transcendental Personality as He Himself has provided the way and the means by His authorities.
-Q-MISLEADING in the sense that the so called God only inspires different people at different times to generate some philosophy whether it be vaishnavism, atheism, theism, impersonalism etc. etc. and empowers different philosophies with some strong points as well as some shortcomings, with the help of some people like Krishna, Jesus, Mohamad, etc.
A It what the souls want. He gives us what we want. No shortcomings in Sri Krishna Caitanyas Vaisnava Philosophy and Sri Krishna is not some people. He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Q-And God derives pleasure in observing different people following different philosophies and sometimes fighting or sometimes changing parties etc.
A-God derives pleasure when the souls become happy by loving and serving Him. Its why He re-establishes religion again and again. Fighting and Changing parties is based on change of body. Bodily identification is illusory and under the jurisdiction of maya--it does not bring the Lord any pleasure. He is never affected by maya, as she operates under Him.
Q AND Actual Absolute truth is that whatever I described above."
A. The Absolute Truth is explained in Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is Original Edition and Srimad Bhagavatam as delivered in english by Srila AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Q sufferings are there; but God has nothing to do with our sufferings he is just enjoying in his own way.
A Srila Prabhupada explains that no one can know another persons sufferings, but Sri Krishna, Who out of love and compassion for the soul has entered into its heart, as the Supersoul, knows everyones sufferings. He establishes religion to relieve the soul of its suffering. And He is enjoying helping us--especially if we are grateful and try to respond. He is also enjoying in His own abode and in millions of forms both in and outside of the material world. Srila Prabhupada says Sri Krishna is sad to see us suffering apart from Him, as a loving, wealthy father feels sadness when his child leaves home, forgetting his loving and wealthy parents and lives off garbage and intoxicants in the street as a homeless person.
Q-If you have to consider science , then science only has proved that our senses are limited hence it is to your imperfect senses that it is appearing world is nicely arranged. Otherwise it may not be. We are completely in delusion.
A. So let them stay in their delusion. If a person is sleeping and you call his name, he wakes up. This philosophy is crooked like the person who is pretending to be sleeping. You call his name but he pretends to be asleep. Better not waste time with such crooked persons-pray for them and Sri Krishna in their heart will do the needful in the right time. What we have been given by Srila Prabhupada is a perfect process and we have little time.
QYou have to choose your own way of living life i.e. the way which you like or feel happy to follow.
And it is not that some philosophy is correct and some other philosophy is wrong. All are on the same platform...
It is just your choice to live life in a particular way.
A. This is just materialism, they are not looking for the Truth or salvation or even elevation.

> And it is not that some philosophy is correct and some other philosophy is wrong. All are on the same platform...As above said, this is not established at all. If all evidence is wrong, then nothing can be established, including this philosophy.
Actually sophy comes from sophia, wisdom, but I dont see anything wise about this stuff.
Its a merge of hedonism and madhyamika buddhism which considers void (sunya) the only reality. Therefore pramanas are illusory as well and sunyavada cant be established. Vedantasutra 2.2.32, SB 7.15.58.
Isnt it what Osho teaches, after all?
> It is just your choice to live life in a particular way.
Sure but have to take responsibility of my actions as well.

[br]Sometimes at the bus station or in town, I pass by some homeless people and listen to what they are talking (its eavesdropping, though, I wouldnt start a conversation with them). They tend to say stuff like that "philosophy" above. Once one hears this sort of "philosophy" from the mouth of a run-down, dirty, smelly, in every way decreipt person, it appears in a different light ....[br]
[br]Usually in societies, it is only the upper class and the lowest class who can afford to promote such "philosophies". Everyone else, who needs to work for a living, needs a more productive outlook on life, otherwise they dont get anything done.[br]
[br]All in all, I think it is impossible to have a meaningful (philosophical) conversation with someone who does not feel any urgency about how to live life and live it responsibly. I would therefore refrain from discussing with a proponent of such a "philosophy" as summed up in the OP, or tell him/her to come back once he/she gets serious about life.

illusion and bondage.Chapter 3, Verse 5.
All men are forced to act helplessly according to the impulses born of the modes of material nature; therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.
Chapter 3, Verse 27.
The bewildered spirit soul, under the influence of the three modes of material nature, thinks himself to be the doer of activities, which are in actuality carried out by nature.
Chapter 14 Verse 19
When you see that there is nothing beyond these modes of nature in all activities and that the Supreme Lord is transcendental to all these modes, then you can know My spiritual nature.
PURPORT
One can transcend all the activities of the modes of material nature simply by understanding them properly by learning from the proper souls. The real spiritual master is Krsna, and He is imparting this spiritual knowledge to Arjuna. Similarly, it is from those who are fully in Krsna consciousness that one has to learn this science of activities in terms of the modes of nature. Otherwise, ones life will be misdirected. By the instruction of a bona fide spiritual master, a living entity can know of his spiritual position, his material body, his senses, how he is entrapped, and how he is under the spell of the material modes of nature. He is helpless, being in the grip of these modes, but when he can see his real position, then he can attain to the transcendental platform, having the scope for spiritual life. Actually, the living entity is not the performer of different activities. He is forced to act because he is situated in a particular type of body, conducted by some particular mode of material nature. Unless one has the help of spiritual authority, he cannot understand in what position he is actually situated. With the association of a bona fide spiritual master, he can see his real position, and, by such an understanding, he can become fixed in full Krsna consciousness. A man in Krsna consciousness is not controlled by the spell of the material modes of nature. It has already been stated in the Seventh Chapter that one who has surrendered to Krsna is relieved from the activities of material nature. Therefore for one who is able to see things as they are, the influence of material nature gradually ceases.

Specific Plan Being Carried Out In This WorldChapter 11. The Universal Form
TEXT 33
tasmat tvam uttistha yaso labhasva
jitva satrun bhunksva rajyam samrddham
mayaivaite nihatah purvam eva
nimitta-matram bhava savya-sacin
TRANSLATION
Therefore get up and prepare to fight. After conquering your enemies you will enjoy a flourishing kingdom. They are already put to death by My arrangement, and you, O Savyasaci, can be but an instrument in the fight.
PURPORT
Savyasacin refers to one who can shoot arrows very expertly in the field; thus Arjuna is addressed as an expert warrior capable of delivering arrows to kill his enemies. "Just become an instrument": nimitta-matram. This word is also very significant. The whole world is moving according to the plan of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Foolish persons who do not have sufficient knowledge think that nature is moving without a plan and all manifestations are but accidental formations. There are many so-called scientists who suggest that perhaps it was like this, or maybe like that, but there is no question of "perhaps" and "maybe." There is a specific plan being carried out in this material world. What is this plan? This cosmic manifestation is a chance for the conditioned souls to go back to Godhead, back to home. As long as they have the domineering mentality which makes them try to lord it over material nature, they are conditioned. But anyone who can understand the plan of the Supreme Lord and cultivate Krsna consciousness is most intelligent. The creation and destruction of the cosmic manifestation are under the superior guidance of God. Thus the Battle of Kuruksetra was fought according to the plan of God. Arjuna was refusing to fight, but he was told that he should fight and at the same time desire the Supreme Lord. Then he would be happy. If one is in full Krsna consciousness and if his life is devoted to His transcendental service, he is perfect.

"The product of the hladini shakti is love of Godhead, which has two divisions-namely pure love of Godhead and adulterated love of Godhead. Only when the hladini shakti emanates from Sri Krsna and is bestowed upon the living being to attract Him does the living entitiy become a pure lover of God. But when the same hladini shakti is adulterated by the external material energy and emanated from the living being, it does not attract Krsna; on the contrary the living being becomes attracted by the glamour of the material energy. At that time instead of becoming mad with love of Godhead, the living being becomes mad after material sense enjoyment, and because of his association with the qualitative modes of material nature, he is captured by its interactions of distressful feelings." (Caitanya-caritamrita, AdiLila, chapter 4, Verse 68, purport)
