Brahma-madva Gaudiya [iskcon]sampradaya...is it a siksa or diksa line?

..How does the disciplic succession actually work....since there appears to be gaps.....or they did not take diksa from their previous guru in the line?

Strictly speaking it is not siksa and not diksa. It is a line of acaryas, or liberated souls - our process is to follow the footsteps of acaryas.

Prabhupada would call it Acarya Parampara.

Srila Bhaktisiddantas Saraswati'92s disciples have adopted his concept of prioritizing teaching (siksha) over
formal ordination (diksha) as a sign of relationship and a marker of disciplic
succession. They thus wish to establish that the renunciate bhajananandi Jagannath
Das was more significant in Bhaktivinoda Thakur'92s life than Bipin Bihari Goswami,
who represents the Gaudiya Maths b'eate noire'97the householder Vaishnava born in
the traditional guru families....
